alive and well on the west coast of eyre peninsula, even though I was in a Mitsi truck!
I wave to just about all LR's that I see. I reckon most D3 and especially D4 owners in general don't even know they are driving Land Rovers so little to no success from them.
The normal exceptions is if the Disco's are modded up bars, snorkels etc then the response rate dramatically improves.
Having said that very few Deefer drivers ever wave back either. Maybe it's because I'm in a Disco ...
Or maybe it's because they need both hands firmly on the wheel to keep the old buses from wandering off the road? ...![]()

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
apologies to Socrates
Clancy MY15 110 Defender
Clancy's gone to Queensland Rovering, and we don't know where he are
That hint of regret when you miss one is very real - I look forward to seeing a Defender to wave at --> out my way I don't see too many Defenders - so many Toyota 4wd driving around.
There has been a white 110 parked out the back of North Richmond shops the last day or two - I give it a wave for good measure![]()
Nah. His i tunes was playing up, or he was looking for that Jube he saw in his Cubby Box the other day.![]()
Cheers, Billy.
Keeping it simple is complicated.
Actually - there was no one in the truck!
I gently wave at a 110 in a car park (as fun) such is the lack of Defenders out my way
Funny thing is how the wife is now spotting Land Rover Defenders (and Series) - so I may spot more and wave now I have her on board!
Cheers,
Col.
Got a honk and a wave from a 6x6 Perentie on Monday while traveling home on a he Bruce Hwy. I could see the guy in my rear views and he sped up to catch me. When he got alongside he was honking and waving like mad. A true Landy nut!
Made our day.
