The highest price for diesel in Dubbo is now $3.049, and lowest is now $2.655.

When I see stuff like that I suspect the low prices are stations which still have fuel from before the "crisis" who have just marked it up. The stations with the high price have fuel which has been purchased since the crisis.

I do wonder if this kind of thing results in higher retail profits.. In brisbane diesel is mostly around the 270 and 91 mostly 230 ish. It's unusual to see this big a price gap.

Perhaps they are trying to slow diesel use by the public to reserve it?

I suspect that in some cases they may be trying to slow sales so as to not run out before the next delivery arrives. Worth noting that a couple of days ago, about three Dubbo service stations had no diesel.

Possibly also relevant is that the highest priced one is a self serve one that is completely unmanned. Not sure just how it works - I've never got fuel there.

Might have better luck in a Defender but I waved at a D5, Disco Sport, and Velar yesterday in my D3 with no response.

If I'm in my Landy, I wave at any model of the marque I encounter. Well, except Evoques. No, not Evoques.

    Doesb't worry me, if I don't get a response.

I took our Rangie classic for a short drive today and got an enthusiastic return wave from an early Disco, so I would suggest waving is not confined to Defenders, but has spread to most “real” Land Rovers (ie solid axles or steel springs). Sometimes if I am feeling optimistic when in the Rangie or D1, I offer a wave at a more modern LR, but rarely get a response.
I recall similarities to when I had an MG TC many years ago, other T series drivers would wave, but not drivers of MGAs or Bs. Maybe when D3s and4s are old enough for club rego, they will start waving, too.
    Cheers, Woolly.
