    my rear springs popped out......

i took lurch to stretch his legs out yesterday......and he got a cramp.....!!

the new rear shocks are working as they should and i now have the correct amount of down travel.......
on full droop yesterday....one of the springs popped out at the top.......i can fix this by just fitting a couple of hose clamps
to the upper spring mount to hold the top of the spring in......

but my question is.......will the flimsy little plate of metal that holds the bottom in be strong enough to keep holding the
bottom of the spring in if the suspension goes to full droop again......?

or is there any tips or ideas people here can offer to fix this simply......
as hose clamps can't be used on the bottom mount......

Your hose clamps will break before the bottom retaining plate bends.

I'm replacing mine all the time as I'm too lazy to retain the springs properly. (I buy hose clamps by the bag )

that little strip of metal looks so flimsy......i didn't expect the clamps to break first.....

oh well......might have to try and devise some sort of dislocating cones.......

thanks for the quick reply......im not the only insomniac on here.......

You'll retain your new found articulation if you go down the dislocation cone path. Hose clamps are going to restrict it a bit.

I too, experienced this with our Fender - the flimsy retaining plates bent and released the coils from the bottom and not the top! I'm running Terrafirma +5's and loving it, so after this I bought the HD terrafirma retainer and the dislocation cones - no problem anymore And they're easy to fit yourself....
