SubscriberI am selling my 2000 extreme. Took it in for a roadworthy and they picked:
Windscreen, R/hand front seatbelt and a blinker light not working. Brakes and suspension passed. No oil leaks and was not washed beforehand.
Now; It has the original standard suspension system still on it, same standard shockers. It has had set of brake pads all round, a set of wheel bearings before a trip. Alternator reco before a trip. Starter motor solenoid before a trip which failed to engage once after repair. Water pump leaked & replaced, front uni's replaced at 209,000 ks. Front output seal replaced due to leak. Broken wire causing occasional TC light to come on. Couple of recalls when new.
Now after 211,000 k's 3 trips up the Canning, Gibb River & Mitchell Falls across the Savanah Way, Colsen Track, Simpson Desert, Anne Beadell, Gunbarrel, Eagle & Hunt oil roads, Maralinga Emu Cook, Googs Track and North of Forest.
All on the standard suspension.
So all those that hang rubbish on landrovers tell them this.
Only hope the Puma is as good.
P.S. probably not the right site to post this on.
Lindsay.
