    Some pics

Hey everyone, went for a bit of a player with another defender driver. He taught me some things like driving steep rock steps on a steepish,30m climb. Learnt how to stall stop by putting the brakes on halfway up a climb then pulling on the handbrake, poping it in reverse and starting then continuing reversing down the hill , and finally how to get out of a bog hole

Will post pics once I upload them off my phone

I don't have alot planned for it (lack of money) but my main priority is to fix the vacuum pump issue which is the only part leaking oil, and the a frame ball mountains(this is gonna be fun with an 130litre fuel tank blocking it more than usual.

When I get some more cash from working I will stick some 33" muddies on it(sorry purists).

That's all that is planned ATM, I have to juggle 4x4ing between school(HSC this year),mountain biking, and lots of other things, so I can't tinker too much:P

    Cheers

Grab a copy of the RAVE cd or let Ian know you want one .
Good thing is defenders are fairly easy to work on (although you will skin a few knuckles along the way) doing work yourself makes it much easier if you have a problem in the bush, at least you know where things are.

The place for parts is Karcraft at Silverwater when you eventually need some.

Thanks Martyn. I think I have a copy of the cd kicking around my office (from the days I owned a D1). Pete had a ball with an experienced fellow local AULROer and learnt some new skills already and also managed to get stuck in a mudpit. Yep - the winch works, but the cable needs attention as you noted. Now to keep the young blokes head near the ground.
