    Door chequer plate

Before I left Brisbane, I came across this defender with chequer plating along the entire side panels. Ive been searching everywhere, but can only find the lower sill chequer plate. Is this a custom job?

    Here's a pic

Looks like a custom job....I'm not a fan. Could be the result of war wounds, plate would be cheaper than new panels.

Maybe he works at the local checker plate company or something. Lol

I'm not a fan of chequer plate either - it doesn't man the car up - It makes it look more camp than a row of tents

Personally only like the wingtop plates myself. Functional enough to kneel on when the bonnet is removed and to avoid the "bling factor" I always buy them in black powder coat...

Love it, that's a good one.

Must be a bloody long trailer to need those mirrors... unless it's just small mans syndrome. Lol
