    She's here but not running!

I went to the port today to pick up my 2004 TD5 110 she looked fine apart from seemingly jet washed dirty by AQUIS! Her battery was flat which was not un expected as I expect the alarm has been going of in the container.

However even with a beast of a jumper and lots of cranking no joy, 2 imobilisers factory and aftermarket seem to be de activated and cranking but no fire.

    Any ideas?

That's my thought too but it's in the tank and the pump is making a noise when I turn the ignition on. She is at a workshop now but I had to get back to work! .

Did the fuel get drained at anypoint in her travels?

With a full tank, turn on the ignition (dont crank) and leave it until the fuel pump stops. Turn off and back on, repeating 3 or 4 times. That will bleed the system and remove any air.

Have you got access to a nanacom to read the ecu and 10AS fault logs?

From memory the 10AS alarm / imobiliser unit will allow the car to crank but not fire.

Do both your remote fobs lock and unlock the central locking? Maybe worth trying to lock and unlock with both fobs - they will be talking direct to the 10AS unit and may de-activate it.

dont forget to check the inertia switch.

They get bounced hard enough when the containers are loaded and in rough sees (specially if the containers jump) to trip it off

    Good thinking!

If you don't know where it is, it's the little black square thing bolted to the bulkhead. It has a rubber top and the switch is underneath the rubber. Put your thumb on it and push it down.

All good now. I suspect a combination of temperature fluctuations, rocking and rolling and possibly some syphoning caused some air to end up in the system, thanks for the reminder about the inertia switch I had forgotten that one.

Any ideas why Aquis made her dirtier? I swear when I left the UK she was the cleanest I had ever seen her!

No idea about dirty water. Mine left the UK cleaner than it left Gaydon, but Aquis still charged me to clean it

It's just an excuse to rip you off that little bit more!
