I suggest that as they (the dc100) are a yuppie thing we call them

    "fitzroy tractor", or "Plastic express'

    or...

In reality the name will be decided by a group of people (on 6 figure salaries) who are not in touch with the history of the vehicle. Plus there will be focus groups involving members of the public who have never even heard of Land Rover.
You also have to consider the 'green' aspect so the name will probably involve saving the planet in some way......

There will be a separate group to decide on the new colours and come up with stupid names for them.
I don't think Victoria Beckham will design the interior for the Defender replacement so it will probably be someone a bit more 'down market'.

Seeing the DC100 is for the USA market yuppies, the colours???? colors should have some Yankee names.

    Rhode Island Red,
    Yellowstone,
    Californian Cyan,
    Wyoming White,
    Great Lake Green,

How about the Land Rover GreenMotion.
Like the VW BlueMotion but in LR green, the 'save the planet' brigade will buy it because it has the word 'green' in the name....

Arthur, I can just imagine the tweed seat covers designed by Prince Philip. Hang on a moment, the covers in my old defender are tweed.....

I know! Lets call them "Land Rovers".
I always thought "Defender" was named because it represented the defender of what landies had always represented. The whole stalwart, resolute thing...

Yes, Land Rover is a good name, come to think of it....
