    Cdl switch?

    Hi all
    my cdl light won't light up when I engage the cdl ?
    I connected the plugs from the switch too each other and the light works.
    When I jacked up one wheel and put it in neutral and pushed the leaver to lock it all worked fine.

    My question is could the cdl not be engaging 100% or is the switch shot?

    Any one with experience in this area ?

    Sounds like the switch isn't adjusted properly or else yes, it's a gonner.

    how is this switch adjusted?
    or is it just easier to buy a new one?

    It screws into the housing and has a lock nut.

    Remove the switch and see if pushing the plunger engages the light.
    If so, then the switch is 100%.

    To adjust.

    - engage CDL
    - loosen lock nut
    - screw switch housing in until light comes on
    - tighten lock nut
    - disengage CDL and make sure light goes off
    - done!
