Now that is a mess...
for this poor Defender owner that I met on Saturday at a 4WD park... he seemed to be such a lovely guy and was rightfully proud of his gorgeous new 110..
On Sunday (today) I saw this and I felt so sorry for him.. the park owners said it only had 1500kms on the clock.. and I'm guessing with the pillar damage it has the car will be a right off..
I must admit that I drove a little more carefully after seeing it.. and I'm praying he isn't a member of this forum and that who ever he is he has insurance to cover it..

Now that is a mess...
Does insurance cover the use on private property ie 4wd parks?
It depends.. at this particular 4WD park the main road travelling through the park is a gazetted road which means that yes you would be covered if the accident occurred on this road.. if it occurs on any other road or track in the park then no it's not covered unless you have specific insurance for 4WD use.. a lot of insurance companies specify in their policies that cars are not covered whilst in 4WD parks..
Personally I think he'd be kicking crap up hill getting that paid out. Blowing 60k would be a very memorable couple of nights in a vegas casino
I had no problems at all with Suncorp and a.. umm. similar scenario. (repaired at cost near insured vlaue)
But yeah looks like a write off to me.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Would make a great soft top...
Look bad but why do you say it's a write off.
It needs a roof, windscreen couple of doors and some wings bits. but manly panels. That won't cost $60,000
Does not look like any major damage and rember the panels on a land rover (unlike new cars) are not part of the structure of the car.
