Hi Murray,
Did you have any luck with pricing one with gal for me?
Thanks,
G'day Michael,
I haven't spoken to the galvanisers yet as I'll be trying a different one next time I get some gal done. I haven't been completely happy with the one I've been using.
Knowing what galvanising has cost in the past, I'm confident a gal wheel carrier could be made for the same price as a powder coated one. I'll confirm this when I find a new place, but should be no problem.
Cheers, Murray

I really like the product. But I have a NATO pintle in th same area as your bracket lives. Can this be modified ? The bracket that is.
Juddy,
Do you have a picture of your pintle. I'll probably be able to see if I can modify around it or not.
I think the only problem you might have with towing etc is the latch end of the wheel carrier clearing your tow hitch when you open the carrier. It would depend on what type of hitch you have as well as what height it sits at. I've seen a few extended tow hitches on Landys lately which would help with clearance as the trailer hitch is further away when the carrier swings out.
Here's a picture of the latch in the closed position. The lowest point of the carrier is a little above the bottom of the chassis.
Cheers, Murray
