It should hold its value better than a Scout

Either way it is Fugly (but so are D3s/D4s and all rangies ever made - ducking for cover)
What about the D1/D2 ? I reckon they are the ugliest 4x4 ever, Way more so than any RR or D3/4 (I'm ducking too)

There is still somthing going on with Ford. They at least have an engine deal with Ford.

    TDCI in the Defenders

TDV6 in the Disco's and RRS

Both engines built-developed-shared during Fords ownership and still today......

Not to be taken seriously, a bit like the name 'Dezyn Smith' .

no need to call this guy a tosser ,,, he has only designed a very challenging concept ,, not robbed a womans hand bag ,, !!

this guy is an engineer working in the design industry for 20 years ,, it took him a whole year to develop this concept , see more pics of this on face book and trust me ,, ull be impressed,,

Both engines are, as you say Ford/Peugot engines, and are fitted to a wide variety of cars. The engine deal would have been part of the sales agreement, beneficial to both companies - Ford can continue to sell more engines, Tata does not have to immediately find/design/build replacements. Sharing of engines is widespread throughout the industry today, a very different situation compared to fifty, or even thirty, years ago.

If the choice was a DC100 or the Dezyn design I'd buy one.
so long as it had Live axles.

and then there is this, a few subtle changes like flat sides and curved guard tops instead of angled , a SVX front and the Bronco suddenly looks like a LandRover. (I like that Ford even uses vents under the windscreen )

    2015 Defender ??

    Nice job on the rendering.

This looks the goods, if the running gear is on spec, this "look" would make great replacement for the current D'fer

    Gotta agree.

I really like the look of these two cars.
Realistically LR has to move on with the exsisting design if the Deefer is to survive commercially. Don't get me wrong, I love the current design, but whatever replaces it has to have live axles or I ain't interested.

We can leave the IFS for the rangies and disco.
    Just leave the deefers alone.
