Thread: fuel economy of a 2.4 defender

    Mines done 9000km using 12-14 l/100km with full length roof rack and 300kgs in the back. The old 300tdi was better in this respect but.......the tdci cruises at 120 and has "alot" of power round town.

    Thats the way I look at it,my Tdi used 10ltres per hundred where's the TDCi use's 14 but the TDCi eats the Tdi,the Tdi's working hard keeping up empty when the TDCi has the camper attached. Pat

    10.5 all day, everyday as far as mine goes.
    Had the odd 9.5 and 11 every now and again. I put that down to Human error.

    To be honest, I don't know because I had it remapped before I took it home from the dealer. I bought it with 30000klms on the clock from a WA used car dealer. I am more than happy with performance and the economy.
