    Puma Mudflap Fixing

    Hi All

Im sure this is an easy one for you all , but i am struggling to get the bolts out of the section where my front mudflap ripped off last weekend.

I cant feel a nut on the other side and the Bolt just keeps turning an not coming out. Any tricks here i am missing?

    Hi Danske,

    It's a nutsert, not a proper nut.

    You have three options:

    1. Try to get a plier into the cavity of the chassis outrigger and hold the nutsert while turning the bolt.

    2. Slide a flathead screwdriver under the bolt and put some pressure on the outer flange of the nutsert. Then turn the bolt.

    3. Cut the bolt head. Grind off the outer flange of the nutsert. Push the nutsert into the cavity of the chassis outrigger.

    Good luck.

    What Mulgo said

When you put it back use an M10 bolt and nylon nut on the inside. I didn't bother with the Nutserts when I put mine on.

Thanks gents , i knew it was not the normal run of the mill approach here. Ill go the standard bolt and nylock for replacement.
