255 /85r16 are hardly like driving around on cookie cutters they are about 10+ inches wide and they look right on a defender. I saw a defender with some on last week which is what prompted me to to purchase mine. Also they will provide plenty of grip on rocks and such with the right pressure. Think about it mate

was not saying your were cookie cutters moon dog, was saying what. Have on now are.
10+ inches would be fine, do you ave yours lifted at all. I'm not good with tyre sizing so hence these silly questions on the forum. In inches, what diamer are they? The coopers I have now are 32, want 33 or 34 now.

Also I have heard good things about the bighorns, but how are they on life, I heard they can chop out presets quick - quicker than the coopers but that was by a bloke that loves coopers.

    Cheers

I have no suspension lift yet symo, just my new rims and tyres. In some of the threads I have read that people have got up to 70k on the bighorns. I have only had them a few days so no idea personally. The 255 are about 33.3in tall

Thanks for your help. I have been researching these tyres and they check out ok I think. will have some words with my tyre fellow tomorrow and get some pricing on them.

About the only ill word I have heard of them is that they are noisy on the black top.... I can handle that....

I just want a good tire thats gets me to the top of hill "A" and through bog "B" when Im silly enough to say.... I wonder whats down "this" track....

    Thanks again for your advice....
