I would thouroghly recomend the trip into bachsten Camp. I did it on my 640 Adventure but would be a good trip in any decent landrover. The magpie jumpup requires a bit of low range work and some of the wet areas my need a bit of a winch early in the season. By the time Rick and Anne rework the track its passable but still difficult enough to be challenging. At around 160 ks it takes a full day and if you want to explore 2 days. There is accomodation available in huts with a hot shower if you get sick of ruffing it. About 1 k down the river is the Bbachsten falls with the pool pictured at the base. A further 70 ks gets you to Walcotte inslet and some big Barra and crocs. There is plenty of rock art ( bradshaws)and beautiful scenery with lilly ponds and waterfalls. I cant wait to get back up there.
