If in doubt, tyr and get a local engineer to approve one of the available mounts. It would be really cool to see a few more getting around with that traditional look!
    No doubt you are correct...

Suppose they had no other place to fit the spare.

Love the A/C units mounted om the back door. Must get warm in there.

I suppose the normal place would have been on the roof, but I take it the up link dish is a tad heavy. Wonder how much stress the unit puts on the door compared to a spare wheel?

Would have thought they could have made a swing our rear air con unit.

Think anything that restricts forward visibility, such as lightbars above the bullbar, is illegal unless it was legal when the vehicle was first registered- isn't that right?

Whatever. It looks stupid as well as impairing vision.

Have a look at the first photo in Juddy's post, at the vehicle you can see from the right hand side. Imagine a driver sitting in that vehicle and draw a line from his/her head height forwards, and you will find that the drivers vision would be dangerously obscured by that bonnet-mounted spare.

I wouldn't even consider doing that.

There's a thread on here somewhere that shows one that Rijidij made for a 90 a couple of years ago. I have seen it and it looks quite good.
    Legalities of it,,, who knows.
