    SHUDDERING

    HI ALL
When I take off and ease out the clutch the car shudders until I start to speed up also the clutch feels like nothing , it doesn't slip at all . The clutch and thrust bearing are about 2 years old , so can any one give me advice with fixing this SHUDDERING problem please .

    Hi Matthew,

I had a similar problem in a single cab 130 Defender. The shuddering stopped after replacing the A Frame ball joint and rear suspension bushes.

The problem can come from a variety of causes, often with several contributing. But the most likely is a dragging handbrake, either incorrectly adjusted, sticking expander, or full of dirt or oil (or both).
