			Sealing clutch housing

Just had the clutch assembly and bearings replaced under warrenty on my 2010 Defender. I had a look at the old bits and they all appeared to be rusty. I was wondering whether the housing filled with water after some deep river crossings on the Gibb river road. No wading plug holes in the Pumas, just an oval drain hole in the clutch and clutch extension case.
Has anyone modified these holes to accept a threaded plug or somehow blocked up the holes when going though deep water. I also noticed, when trying to refit the CKP heat shield (which was somehow forgotten about) I could see the flywheel. Is it normal for it to be exposed .Its a good spot for water to also get in,even though its up high.

From Memory on Uk defender someone posted a photo when their gearbox was out and I think there was a hole at the top of the clutch housing which would let in water.
will look later for the link.

I am not sure what to do about the cutouts in the housing. Not sure if there is one on the opposite side. Cant see, there's too many pipes but I would like to be able to stop water and dirt getting into the clutch area though the top holes. I wonder if all the Puma owners know about them because you cant see the one where the CKP sensor is because its hidden by the small heatshield.
