No its a car
I originally called my 110 wagon "Vincent" just because at the time we thought it kind of suited it… However, it never quite stuck for me, as I've always named my 4WD's female names (probably comes from a prior career at sea).
I previously had an 80 Series Toyota I called "Joyce" and after that I owned a GQ Patrol I called "Gwen"… both because I thought they were kind of Nanna names, and both vehicles were quite long in the tooth at the time I had bought each of them. (Plus I drove them around with a lot of mechanical sympathy, like a Grandpa myself)...
After much thought, I changed my Defender to "Agnes" which I regard as another kind of Nanna name. My goal is to own her forever :D
My wife names all our cars (they're all male).
The 90 is Henry, Series 1 is Larry, her Astra is Ted, D2 was Marcel, 110 was Elwood, D1 was Wallace (still is with the current owner), Patrol was Harold, Cruiser was Mikey, RRC was not repeatable!:p
I don't name my cars or bikes I tend to call them after the model or brand. ie my Isuzu Dmax is The Dmax, the Defender is the Defender or Deefa.
I have 2 Giant TCR bikes that are basically the same model different years. One is known as the Di2 after the gearing and the other is the TCR as I had it first.
I guess when my wife gets her 90 it will be the Deefa and the 90. Can't call them both the Defender. :p
My defender is just "Rover" as in, let's take the Rover. Or get in the Rover kids. I think it like "Bono" or "Sting" it stand on its own!!!!;)
(Oh, and there is sarcasm in my typing.....promise)
Cheers all
Nino.
My girlfriend named my defender 130 .... EL JEFE ...... ( THE BOSS in spanish).
Hamish..... ;)

Now by Defender 90, on Flickr
.
Ours is still to arrive (currently on route) but already named "Matilda" by the 6 and 4 yr olds.
Perhaps a little boring and predictable however until we come up with something a little more personal our beloved Defender is known as 'Fenda.
Ha Ha
My 130 is affectionately known as Bender - any Futurama fans??
Suitably named by my 6yo daughter!
Cheers
Mike
