I made the flywheel locking tool by drilling and tapping a 1/4" BSP plug to 6mm and turned the end of a 6mm SHCS to 5mm to fit the slot in the flywheel.
I think there's a piccy on here somewhere, I'll try and find it.
G'Day
just made a swanky locking tool for the pulley http://www.aulro.com/afvb/1765347-post108.html with a terrible drawing here http://www.aulro.com/afvb/attachment...y-picture1.jpg but it works
Anyone got dimensions for the 2 pins?
I know I can use a drillbit, but as its cheap to machine up here I am making up the full set plus the puller
On the puller subject what M size or bolt diameter is the main pulley bolt? I am outstation so cant measure it and was going to get it made whilst I am away ie remote Land Rover tinkering

Cheers if you can as I can email it up to my machine shop and get them to make them up
Gives me something to do as nothing to do at or around this hotel.
Found one.
I used an SAE flare to BSP adapter that I had on the shelf and the blanking plug is beneath.

Flywheel locking pin.
As I said above, 1/4" BSPT into the flywheel housing, and the slot in the flywheel is 5mm wide so I just used bits I had to hand, including the 6mm SHCS with the end turned down to 5mm to fit the slot.

Except as I keep telling you Dave, it's a BSPT thread, not metric, it's just that 1.5mm pitch is close.......
