Just because the MOD does it, doesn't mean that you can/should do it too...
They used to stick massive loads on the 110s for the Camel Trophy & G4. The guys driving the trucks never complained about leaks but the bodywork was trashed after! (The loads from the roofracks used to squash the rear tubs!!!)
It's your car, so if you want to have a roofrack, knock yourself out. Personally, I'd avoid using a roofrack but if I had to, I would limit the usage to carrying soft/light stuff.
As for 150kg vs 75kg... It depends on the revision of the manual. Which becomes academic if you're not fitting one anyway.
