I had wrangler mud tyres, they were good but I run Mickey Thompson now ATZ 4 bar.

235/85/16 are the standard size for a defender.

Very happy with the Toyo muds, had them almost 4 years now and very little wear evident, much done on verious surfaces both on my recently departed 110 and s.h.m.b.o's 90.

Yes that was good to see, we have emailed each other a couple of times since he bought it. I had been without the internet for 3 weeks (joys of Telstra) so only just started to catch up. I had KM2's on the Puma when we did the last Kimberley trip and was not happy with the wear compared to the Toyo's. I also think I would stick with 265/75's and not go to the 285's as the fuel consumption on my vehicle loaded and towing a small boat was around 15-16 ltrs per hundred K's far higher than when the Toyo's were on it at 12-13 with the same load.

Nice to know what became of all the other SVX's sold in Aus?!

I run 265's on mine, but my mate has 235 on his 130 and gets around 100k out of them working in quarries.

They are a Bridgestone MT 235. They are quite on the road, great in the wet and have been a very good all round tyre.

No problems with 235/85/R16 on a standard Defender.

Hi, I have goodridge km 2's , they are a bit noisy on the road, I am assuming this is pretty normal?
