    Auxilliary fuel tank same as JDNSW's 110, and a fridge.
    I think a stereo would be good because i lose my voice after a while and the song rarely changes.

    Hey guys,

    There is a tutorial in "Projects and tutorials" section. Extending range in Defender central locking.

    All up took about 15 minutes to accomplish. Good photo's, and a simple procedure. I ran my antennae lead up behind the plastic of the drivers side pillar, and up along the top of my door. Now have a range of about 10m.

    Cheers,

    Ken

    Best mod I made has been the Safety Devices Roll Cage - it makes me feel a lot safer, and has stiffened up the body so the door no longer hit the "A" pillar on corrugated roads. Expensive to buy and fit, but I think it should have been fitted by LR as standard.

    Long Range fuel tank - I fitted the LRA 127lt tank within days of getting my Defender - a 400-500km range is not what you expect from a 4x4 over here in Australia, fine for England. Toyota fit 180lt tanks to the Prado, with over a 1000km range.

    Next would have to be the Maxidrive axles and flanges. After twisting a standard axle shaft with just the traction control doing the work, I didn't want to risk travelling in remote areas without a drive train upgrade - this is something LR should have recognised as a weak point and fitted something up to the task in the first place. Maybe they are designed as the "fusible link" to protect the more expensive parts of the drive train - but at least they could have made them a bit stronger.

    Favourite mods I have done;

    Wife: Mulgo gas strut to back door.
    Me: UHF radio.

    Wish list;

    Wife: Directional air vents and the same temp each side.
    Me: Water tanks. Diesel is easy to find in the outback. Water is near impossible.
