Not a mod really, but a lifetime LR warranty would be handy, mine just run out and now I get worried at every noise/bang/clunk & rattle

That said my warranty would be void now on most things anyway so a mute mod..

high speed in a defender is unheard of. I have a light on the dash that illuminates at 120 km/h. Yet to see it illuminated. Not sure i've been to 120 km/h and if i did breach it I was wrestling with the car so i wouldn't have noticed the light on the dash.

I did get to open her up down the straight of eastern creek raceway at a car show. Had lots of quizzical looks from spectators admiring the screaming 5 pot engine bouncing off its upper rev range and the muddies droning at high speed. Like i said i was fixated on keeping it all together.

as for reducing drag, wouldn't a redesign of the box shaped body be a better use of resources. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

    What a load of crock-s**t!

Crikey - "I want a 7.3 litre 16 pot super triple turbo engine and 2 litres per hundred k's economy" etc etc etc. Add: Oh, if only LR would add a 15 speed auto and twin 2.7 litre V6 diesels I would be happy".

What about sitting back and actually looking at what you have - yeah even looking at why you bought the damn thing - it goes, it does things that other vehicles don't/can't do. The bloody thing has a soul, it has personality!!!!

What, do you look at your missus and say: What would alteration would I like to make"

OK - that was a stupid example and I retract that example

The best answer - and the answer that receives the chocolates is: Fill it with money and off I go - good on ya, Newhue......... you have the right attitude and mind-set.

Forget the vehicle - think of the adventure!!!

Should've kept it into it and done a lap

Used to turn into turn one @215km/h in the things I used to drive around there, and no wings for downforce either

My centrafuse carpc can use gps to turn volume up/down by a variable % depending on speed.

You could probably run a music player app on your smartphone that can use gps for volume adjustments. Dash mount, line in, job done.
