Good to hear, you're probably a lot safer now also.
What shocks did you end up fitting?
Thanks for the posts guys. I took on board the advice and changed the steering damper as well as the shocker - finished the front shockers and damper about half an hour ago and took it for a test drive.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
I have been avoiding driving it and using my wife's Kia Carnival as the Defender had become too unpleasant. Now it is like a new car. Just such a difference - I guess my old shock absorbers had become shock creaters!
Will do the rear ones after Christmas but they are not as bad.

Agree. As in many cities, we have a guy in Cairns who has been working on LandRovers since the year dot and sells parts as well. I got some OEM shockers from him but the damper is an Armstrong.
