    Transform your Defender for free!

Well not quite but 20 mins with a 19mm socket and ratchet has transformed parking. Get someone to sit holding the steering on full lock (both ways) with the engine running and see how much clearance you have, screw in the stop-bolts a couple of turns and now it won't take 3 attempts to park due to the woeful turning circle just remember not to go far and make sure there's still clearance on the tyre's after you've finished. I apologise for those in the know, isn't mean't as an egg sucking exercise

Make sure you aren't causing trouble when the axle isn't on flat ground too. The room the wheel takes on full articulation is different to flat ground

    Worth doing, though!

Does it cause the safe "drive angle" limits of the CV joints to be exceeded....?

No, it will hit the trailing arms way before that, 2 turns of the screw makes a big difference driving, I've seen Defenders with the bolts sheared off and the tyre rubs on the suspension and doesn't damage the CV's, mind you they were military Land Rovers so weren't soft Civvie ones

Sometimes it even helps compensate for lack of TC or front locker...

    ...allegedly.
