I did mean for warranty works, I will be talking to Davies for next service. Cheers.

    it doesn't have to end

there are ways of doing it that don't involve naming and/or shaming on a public forum.

no one wants to specifically kill chat about problems, it just has to be done in a way that doesn't expose the forum etc etc to litigation.

Who's the best LR service dept in Sydney?

Meanwhile, back to the original question....

This is a difficult question to answer as everyone has their own experiences with their dealers. I believe the key to getting good service is developing a relationship.

I have had my D3 serviced by the same dealer for 5 years - one with a poor reputation. Apart from a few short periods of upheaval when service advisors have come and gone, I have always received very good service from them. They have gone the extra mile a few times when needed.

I had the same experience from the previous dealer, through some particularly difficult warranty issues with a D1.

    Cheers,
    Jon

Picked TAV up today, my dealer experience was good. Tech came out had a chat with me and then put T AV on the hoist and explained a few things underneath.

I walked away with confidence in their ability

Diagnosis - Gearbox front output shaft seal was leaking, now replaced. It must have splashed oil around which mixed with water dripping from the top of the gearbox, which made me think the leak was coming from on top of the gearbox.

Do all model defenders leak the aircon water from the top of the gearbox, most vehicles will leak out of the engine bay.
