Thread: A good vehicle trimmer in Melbourne

I stopped into one on Barry Rd New Gisborne the other day to talk about getting my boat seats done. I don't know what there work is like as have had nothing done there, I just dropped in as I saw it driving past. It looked ok though.

I asked ball park figures and sounded about right but have not shopped around. Can't hurt to ask.

I would normaly have jumped at this trip but I still have to get a clutch issue sorted. Keep me in mind for future trips, all ways good to have someone to go out with.

Can you remember what price he quoted?
Surely it's gotta be more cost effective to go this way.
It's just that if I go for a different set of seats, I would want to move my batteries to the rear cargo area, & that'll just add to the expense.

I have used Tylden trim for a few jobs on my old car and my camper. Both times he has done good work at a competitive price. Happy to recommend!

Disco seats are an easy comfy alternative.

In the past I used to get my seat base modified. Veterans Affairs suggested it due to bad back.
I used to go to an upholsterer and get them to remove cover and they would build up foam with varying density and then carve/sculpt it to shape. I would then drive around for a few days with a towel over it to test it then any adjustments made then recovered. Worked well and lasted 3_4 years.
It was done in Hobart so no help but I chose them as they were accustomed to building/ rebuilding seats for enthusiests.
It never cost me over $150
