Hi guys,
Any ideas on this, I get vibration throughout the vehicle when I hit 100klm/ph, the front passenger seat starts to shake vigorously and odds and ends behind the seats shake about.
The steering wheel is fine, no vibration from there, I'm thinking maybe the rear wheels are out of balance or is it something more sinister ?
Your experiences/opinions needed.
Cheers.

Vibration in my butt with Tom Wood's shaft :)
Mssing and wheel weights. Have you been running low tire pressures lately? Maybe rubbed a tire on a log.
I had a vibration for a fair time at 95 to 100, a steering wheel wobble. Always took it to the same major tyre service centre for a balance and alignment, but nothing changed. I was told it's a mud tire issue.
Eventually out of frustration tried another tire fitter, problem solved.

hi Babs , There are a few things I can think of that can course vibrations . 1 check your wheel nuts are tight ,2 check inside and out side of your wheels to see if you've lost any weights ,3 jack up check wheel bearings ,4 check the nuts on your prop all ends , also see if there is any movement in your CVs , I'm shore others will add to this good luck ..
I too had something similar to this several weeks ago, where the whole car would vibrate between 85-95km/h. It turned out to be the rear cv's.
'Rear CVs' on a Defender, are you talking about the universal joints and double Cardan joint?
Babs, isn't your Defender new? I would not be looking at anything and getting it in to the dealer to check and fix pronto. Well that is what I would do.
cheers
