I don't know if sill tanks are still available - you do see ads from time to time for used examples. I think it could be set up simply on a modern 110 to pump the contents to the main when that tank is depleted thereby avoiding the complications of extra return lines and dupilcating an in-tank fuel pump etc..

I have a sill tank on an older 110 with a 2" raise and it doesn't affect the rampover clearance very much at all.

Hi I have one fitted to a 2009 110, fitted at Slacks Creek. it is 45litre and fits behind the right rear wheel, no pumps needed it is a syphon type. With no caravan behind it has a range of 1100k,s the vehicle is doing combined 9.8 l/100 and 15.2 with a Jayco 21 foot van approx 2.5t. I think the brand was Mugloo and it is very neat fit. I would recommend over the side type. For the range there are few places where I would have to carry fuel.

Great to hear is worked out well. I did hear about the Mulgo and I would prefer this arrangement rather than replacing the original tank.

With the 45 ltr aux unit mounted in the rear right wheel well, if you plan to upsize tyres to 255/85 (33") or larger the tyres foul the tank. 265/75 is smaller diam than 235/85 by a smig so they will fit.

I think Spudboy fitted sill tanks to a D90 with customised plumbing by Mulgo. No doubt Daniel will be able to give you all the facts you need to make an informed decision.

At the moment the 110 is coming with 235/85 Goodyear wrangler/ LR 16x8 sawtooth rims and I don't have plans for 33" At this stage. Having said that I will contact Daniel regarding plumbing. Many thanks for the advice. This is a great forum!

Below are a few of many options. The first is a drop in tank, replacing the main tank in a Puma. The second is for a pair of sill tanks in a 2006 TD5 Defender.

Interested to hear that a 33 tyre would not fit with these tanks...mine is not a Mulgo, it's a Dolium, but there would be ample clearance to run 33'3 with the same style tank fitted.

Got a link to Mulgo's similar tank? I couldn't find any reference to it.

I have the dolium (frontrunner) rear quarter tank and 33" (cooper ST) tyres do rub/hit it on full articulation, especially when the car is full/heavy in touring setup.
The normal 238/85R16 tyres are fine.
