    Mudstuff vs Raptor dash

I'm thinking about going with either of these, but true to form, can't decide

    Defender & S111 Console Dash

MUD Defender Console - Interior Trim - Products

The claim the Raptor takes 20 minutes to install! Obviously that doesn't include fitting gauges!

I have the dash top Raptor pod on the defer. I got it at a good price but have to say I am impressed with it. Very solid, much more than the ABS mudstuff 1. I have had the kids use it as a hand grip to get into the middle seat! The mounting method I had to mod a bit as I could not stop it sliding on my rough roads.
30 mins? Took me a lot longer than that to fit up the dash top! Cheers Scott

To me, one looks like it came from the factory and the other looks like it was booty fabbed with a set of tinsnips and costs more.

Yes have to agree with the looks between the 2 But the raptor is fabbed not molded! And it does fit in a defender, not a rolls!

I have seen the Raptor fitted to a Defender. To me it looked like a very well made bit of gear. If it was me I would go the black model as I can imagine you would get glare from the silver finish.

I have the MUD one. I went for it purely because its more of a factory look/fit.

Raptor has screw on removable face plates which make it easy to get to the connections or even replace with a new plate and start again. The MUD is cut once plastic and then if you want to get to connections the entire plastic face has to come away from the mount. Also the plastic MUD can vibrate and squeak, I doubt the raptor has that issue.

I think the raptor is worth more than the MUD. If I had the choice again I'd probably go for an all black raptor.

Looks 100% better than the plastic jobbie from Mud.

I installed the raptor dash and the Mudpod. Prefer the raptor as its made of metal so should last another 60 years Has made an awesome difference.

I bought the mud first, took a good look when it arrived and thought there is no way that is going to last a few big trips on crap roads without rattling and squeaking and generally annoying the crap out of me.. So I orded the Raptor, had them cut the holes out to suit what I wanted and couldn't be happier. Looks better thsn another chunk of plastic in a car that plastic doesn't suit, IMO at least.

Fits nicely and is held in place securely. Really easy to unscrew the fascias to get to the wiring, which I've done a few times now.

    Couldn't be happier.

Took more than 20 minutes to fit, but was quite straightforward. Has taken hours and hours to wire up...
