And why do you say that...

Chipped all bar my D4 from new with no issues.

There is no reason not to..

I have only read a few comments here, been traveling and missed out on some time with this wonderful forum.

I have a 2.4 puma, wanted some extra power and a friend suggested a steinbauer chip- so I did. Rough performance. Smoky exhaust and higher engine temperatures. Took it back and they tweaked but was never really happy. Hung in there for 6 months before I spat it, ripped it out and contacted Peter at BAS. Loaded the modified map and wow, I am impressed. Doesn't spin wheels but it's like a new car, more power, smooth delivery, no smoke.

    Really happy with BAS....

P.S. steinbauer free to good home. Will suit avid fisherman.

True, but there is no remote mapping option on the 2.2 available as of yet using an alien tech remap interface. Yes you can get another ECU with the remap pre programmed on it or have the remap installed onto the original ECU by taking it to the remap supplier. If you go for the additional ECU with remap pre installed you will still have the original ECU for dealer visits so the warranty won't be put at risk......just swap the ECU's over. A bit pricey for the 2.2 though....£830

Sorry, though Pete at BAS had the 2.2 sorted..... silly question but have you sent an email to Pete to ask? Last time we communicated (about my car) I was sure he said he had the 2.2 sorted. ( In china now on work and no access to my emails from pete)

Just my 2c worth, 99% of all remaps originate from Pete at BAS.

For my money we should only goto Pete... The bloke is a true gent and reads his newspapers in binary what he doesn't know about any Landy ecu isn't worth knowing.

No need to email him, he tells you himself here that he needs the ECU on his bench to apply the remap:

I stand corrected. its all good. I have 2.4 puma so didn't pay a lot of attention to the 2.2. Pete has done it as I had thought, however its NOT a simple hand held tool remap as for the 2.4....... Im sure Pete will come up with something soon - he is a clever bloke ( and a nice bloke too )
