    Puma 2.4 upgrade in Melbourne

    Hello all in Melbourne

Where on the North side/Hume highway side of Melbourne can I get a 2.4 Upgrade and EGR shut. Am looking at pulling a van to Sunshine Coast which is normally pulled by an upgraded D2.

If I was to go ahead, it would need to be done 11 June 13.

    Oh! and which upgrade?

    Cheers

    Hi Rick,

Lots of info on a thread 4 or 5 back - "Remapping New Puma"

IMO you can't beat BAS (Bell Auto Services), but have a read and make your mind up.

2.4 Puma is not geographically limited as long as you've got e-mail...

    Cheers,

    Lou

You do - its a two minute job. The interface unit is supplied as part of the entry fee.

Been there did that Seems more concerned with 2.2.

Anyway, where do I pick up the Bell 2.4 clobber in Melbourne, or do I have to go to UK?

    Cheers

    Rick,

Its UK based, but its fast track courier for the interface and e-mail conversation, so we've all been happy with the service.

Well guys, went to Bell Auto Site and no 2.4 download available off he page, so sent email and received a quick reply. However, the email address was a "hotmail" address; ie Bellautos [bellautos@hotmail.com] and asked for Visa number plus other details.

When I said I wasn't happy sending CC details by email a guy called Pete came back with a UK phone number for the Visa.

Question is: Would/Do a supposedly reputable company like Bell Auto have such a "mickey mouse" system and use "hotmail" ?

Have other 2.4 upgraders had to do this?

Alternatively is there an Australian agent?

    Cheers

Pete is fine, I used him for a remap for my old D3.

Rang him up, paid with visa over the phone (I wouldnt be happy emailing it either), 3 days later the BAS unit arrived, follow the instructions & its a piece of cake!

So dont worry hes a reputable business despite the hotmail email address.
