I have to say that it is one rather sexy steering wheel...

damnit I thought I was done with the shopping list for a while.... And as I have long legs and my seat moves back further than usual the boss moving the wheel closer to me will work well for comfort!

God, next I'll be wanting longer doors so I can fit my elbow out the windows......

A dum question no doubt. However I will ask it anyhow......

Does any other Land Rover steering wheel fit...such as a Disco 1 or 2, Freelander etc etc steering wheel.

    Chilly,

    Easy answer - unfortunately no...

The Defender (including LR 110/90 or County if you prefer) is on its 4th steering wheel with none of them being interchangeable. Read the the instruction lower down on the link.

I suppose there is a chance of a Disco having by chance the same spline as one of them, but it would be a long shot...

    Cheers,

    Lou

Nice wheel... Looking at that photo reminds me of another gripe I have. I often change gears not from the top of the gear knob but having my hand down the shaft over the gear lever. (I can smooth out the clunky change of the Puma better...). I've being wondering if anyone makes a nice leather sleeve which goes over the gear lever shaft rather than the plastic cover that is on there now?

Fairly sure that the early rangie wheels fit.. and early disco's too.. IIRC the splines changed over at the same time. Not sure about modern Rangies or D3,D4 however.
