    Straight rear diff swap George... throw the salisbury on the disco for sale

    Would a 200tdi Defender be drums on the rear, I think it might.
    and I'm pretty sure the disco will be discs all round.


    That'll complicate things because I doubt they will let someone retro fit drums onto a car that only came with discs.(Assuming you put the salisbury under the disco before selling it)


    I've looked into exactly what your trying as I have a 98 disco with maxi-drive rear but there is no easy way to swap this to the 110 due to drum brakes never being able to be engineered for the disco

    Either way I would sell the disco with rear locker and upgrade the salisbury which works out cheaper

    ok so now you are talking the front diff in the disco......gees this thread isnt very confusing at all. Good luck with what ever you are trying to achieve, because buggerd if I know.

    It was always about the rear salisbury diff the front was never a problem . You right though ,the reverse cut is in the front diff .

    You will also need to change the propshaft length.
