It's a great feeling they really do put a smile on the dial, grin every time. Took mine to butcher country Calidonia river in the vic high country with about 800 km on the clock, they perform beautifully right out of the box.

Congrats mate will it be named?

Love the look of those rims and tyre combo on the fender. Almost makes me want to swap over from a disco.

What rims are they (someone mentioned sawtooth ?) and what tyres are they? I have to look at rubber soon.

(Forget the question on the rims.... Just googled them.)

    Thanks for the reply PD,

Does LR offer the sawtooth rims as an option or did you order them seperate and got them put on as they look awesome. Is there much road noise from the wranglers ?

Back in February when I ordered the defender it was an option, not sure if it still is. In the current brochure shows them as option.

In terms of noise, yes there is the noticeable clunk clunk but not annoying, it depends on the road surface. They are not as bad as the mud tyres I had on the Hilux.
Just finished painting the plastic guards, grill and headlight surrounds Black and put them back on, the car looks a lot better. I will take some shots tomorrow and post.

    Cheers

I decided against traditional bullbar and I am going with the following:

    1. Mantec Snorkel
    2. LR A-Frame and winch bar
    3. Warn winch 9.5cti-s
    4. Front light guards (non LR)
    5. Rear Bumperettes
    6. Tow bar-Hayman Reese
    7. Steering Guard - Troutbeck
    8. Window Tinting

I am fitting my own HID driving lights (cheap chinese versions) soon as i get the A-Frame fitted.

    Roof rack will come later.
Getting all these fitted at a local land rover specialist in Melbourne and not the dealer.

    Cheers
Being new to the Forum, and not knowing really, "where to go", it's always good to hear recommendations about places who know the product (Defender) & who do really, good, careful work.......so, who did the work for you?
    Cheers, Pickles.
