    Pickles,

Nationally the Opposite Lock franchises are pretty good. They stock the products that Dolium import from South Africa which are pretty much all approved by Land Rover South Africa as they install Front Runner products pre-delivery. Quite a bit of the LR brochure OME kit is deemed unsuitable for conditions outside Europe, hence the advice on your first post.

Obviously Mulgo Expedition centre sells the same and installs to a very high standard for those close enough to make it viable. Daniel the owner is a avid Defender fan and by all means a specialist on his product.

ARB sells some good products, but they are not by any means Land Rover specialists and the quality of workmanship can vary from branch to branch (although we've not read any complaints from people with their bull bar installed).

Landybitz (Juddy on here) sells some really good gear and can by all standards be called a Land Rover specialist installer as well and are recommended if geographically viable.

I've only mentioned a couple that came straight to mind and my apologies to any vendors on here that didn't get mentioned!

Here in Perth we've got some really good independent specialists that would rival any, so if you post on your area specific sub group you'll have all the answers!

Stay on the forum and you'll learn an immeasurable amount about our very unique vehicles.

    Cheers,

    Lou

In terms of noise, yes there is the noticeable clunk clunk but not annoying, it depends on the road surface. They are not as bad as the mud tyres I had on the Hilux.
Just finished painting the plastic guards, grill and headlight surrounds Black and put them back on, the car looks a lot better. I will take some shots tomorrow and post.

    Cheers
Did my headlights and grill in black as well, looks heaps better.

Ritter Automotive are doing the job and they seem to know their land rover stuff.
Will postpone until I get LR to fix water issue. I think I may have found something else wrong could be mechanical.

    1. Mantec Snorkel
    2. LR A-Frame and winch bar
    3. Warn winch 9.5cti-s
    4. Front light guards (non LR)
    5. Rear Bumperettes
    6. Tow bar-Hayman Reese
    7. Steering Guard - Troutbeck
    8. Window Tinting

I am fitting my own HID driving lights (cheap chinese versions) soon as i get the A-Frame fitted.

    Roof rack will come later.
Getting all these fitted at a local land rover specialist in Melbourne and not the dealer.

    Cheers
Once again - love your set up..

I am keep to replicate your recovery gear set up on my 90. Could I ask where you sourced the items 1-4 from? Did you get them from the dealer?

Also I see you got Ritters to install all these for you - were you happy with their service?

    Cheers

Ritters sourced all the gear you see on the vehicle! I wanted to go to one place only, did not have time to go to multiple places.
I did considerable research on sourcing myself and found that their pricing was a bit higher. So, I negotiated a supply and install price that I was happy with. They have matched the prices on the snorkel and winch. They even have their own contractor doing the tinting.
I highly recommend that you get Landrover to install HD front springs once you have installed the winch. My car dropped 30+mm after winch went on.
Finally, feel free to drop in and have a look at the vehicle if you are local. Not sure how to post private message on this app.

I am based in Pascoe Vale South, but drop in the city 2 or 3 times a week to see clients.
I am literally 10mins from city via city link.
