    Electric Brakes 2010 Defender

I am about to fit a Redarc electric brake control to my Defender and unsure where to connect the controller trigger wire. The obvious place would be the brake switch however I am concerned this may upset the vehicles computer.
Has any member of the forum fitted a controller to their vehicle and able to provide some input. Also any suggestions regarding the placement of the unit would be appreciated. The cubby box would be convenient with the battery being nearby with grommets in the battery box to enable the wiring to be fed to the rear of the vehicle.
    Thanks, Jim

Brake switch will be fine, just tap into it where it connects at the back of the brake pedal box in the engine compartment.

Or just run two wires to the trailer plug. One sends the signal forward from the brake light pin to the controller, the other from the controller back to the trailer. Easy.
