Black looks better anyway.
G'day all,
My new landy 90 is due soon, and I would like to fit it out with some chequer plate on the bonnet and wings.
Has anyone experienced problems with sun reflection off the silver anodised ones? Or is it better to go black?
Black looks better anyway.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I fitted silver wing protectors to my series, I havn't done HEAPS of driving in it but have done enough to know that it's not really a problem. Black will get hotter to stand on... if that's what you're planning on. Don't have anything on the bonnet so can't comment on that bit, sorry.
I should get some for my 90 as well.... but putting my play money elsewhere at the moment.![]()
I think the most important thing is the thickness. Don't get anything under 3mm or it will dint if you stand on it. That's of course if it isn't just for looks.
Have it on SIII and Puma - no worries with reflection. Puma has a nicer satin silver finish.
I'm definitely going for the 3mm. It's for standing on!
I just have to decide on colour. The 90 will be Keswick with a white roof.
Hi James , If you put 3mm silver chequer on , and find that you not happy , you could always , paint it flat black !!..jimr1![]()
