What do you do for seat belts in the center rear - do you live with just a lap belt?

IT's the seat belts that worry me the most. I believe you can retrofit MY07 model rear seats that include a full lap sash belt in the rear. I think that will be the only way to do this as any other option will still only have a center rear lap belt. I am fairly sure that unless the center seat is designed for a lap sash you cannot retrofit it, and I think most other alternative seats I've seen are only lap in the center.

Currently my kids (8,6,4) are using a child harness in the center rear, and that's OK for next 3-5 years, but once they outgrow that then I'll probably have to trade the TD5 on a MY07 7 seater. Or else hunt up a rear seat from a MY07 and retrofit... (I'm not too keen on the wheel arch mods required to do it properly though.)

The Disco 2 Rear seat has a built in centre seat belt, which comes from the back of the seat. And the left/right belts are held on from the pillars.

I have seen a South African site the shows a mod to fit the original defender fronts into the back of a 110. Only gives you 4 seats though.

This is something that I am looking as well Weeds...even though my boys are only 5 and 7 but in the 130 (1998 model), there are no headrests in the back and a couple of times now I have taken off from a standing start and my older son has cracked in head on the rear window frame.... (300Tdi power!!)

I was originally looking at fitting later model seats at least to get some headrests, but the mounting frames are different....

    so am stumped.

sorry...I haven't provided any help at all

    Cheers

Yes that is exactly what I wish to do now I have the Scheelmans in the front. However I have been out of action for about 4 months and still playing catchup.

I must be back to front as I would love to trade my pumas rear seats for county rear seats I find my county's bench seat considerably more comfy than my pumas and the seating position way better too...everyone that sits in my defenders complains about the rear seats comfort/space whereas never hear 1 complaint when in the county what I wonder is if there's any rear seats out of another car that fit the new defenders ?

clarke rubber and some new foam would have to be the easiest and cheapest option by far. no engineering/police issues and keeps it uniform looking.
