    Blade.

On another topic, from my wife's description it seems she may have seen you last week on the kingsway in Miranda. And by all accounts you didn't see the red one coming the other way and so you didn't wave and she was waiting too! LOL

    It is a small world

    Glenn,

It would have been me as I live in Gymea.
Tell her sorry and I occasionally don't see a defender so don't wave.
But I definitely wave when I see one.
I have rescue tape in the garage and if I knew the car was so close could have helped out.

Sorry you could not get more help on the weekend, hope the wife and daughter are okay and the problem is sorted out on Monday.
Can you let us all know how it went.
    Good luck

Update: The Defender was fixed today and dropped back to my wife with a fresh clean inside and out . Apparently not all the new bracketry components were available and it will need to visit the dealer in Melbourne but it is good enough to get her back on the road.

So Land Rover did what they could and the Service Manager and Tow Truck Driver were friendly and helpful by all accounts.

    Cheers everyone for the offers!

Good to hear that it was fixed OK.
I hope your wife now enjoys a trouble free trip south.
    Roger
