    Help needed in Alice Springs

I have burst a rear air bag spring along the tanimi track.
Im hoping to beg, borrow, steal or buy a rear steel spring to get me home.
A heavy ute one would be best but I would be happy with a old standard one.
I got here using a toyota 4runner and a unknown springs inside it located with alternater parts.
I will be staying in a van park for a night or two in Alice so if any one can help me I can be contacted on 0412749159.

Go around and see Sutton Motors 13 Smith Street.
They may have something out the back that would suit

Hope you get it sorted and back safely Albert.

You know you're not helping the spring vs airbag debate

Sorry - a bit confused here. I thought that these sort of airbags were to "assist" the normal springs so I thought a steel spring would still be there.

My take on the OP is that the original steel spring has been removed and in its place is an airbag spring similar to what I have on my RRS.

    What am I missing here??

Sorry not a help to the OP but just curious.

    Thanks

I've heard of a bush fix where you stuff tennis balls inside the spring in place of the stuffed air bag

Its a proper airspring like in your RRS. Not a helper airbag like polyair etc.

Is the part available in Adelaide or Darwin? Would it be easier to get it over night and install in the morning? Probably take the the same time...

Are you in a Land Rover, or a 4 Runner ... I don't really understand? I'm not really sure what you're after ...
If you're in a LR, as said above, Suttons is a good place to start.

If you need a heavy ute spring, I'm guessing you mean something like Toyota springs? Territory Wrecking (Nth Stuart Hwy (08) 8952 3060), or Alice Auto Wreckers (George Cresent (08) 8952 3736) might be able to sort you out
