    Ive been thinking of making something similar, didnt realize you could buy them off the shelf.

    I was thinking of putting an airline, an anderson plug for jump starting or getting jump started (would require a bit of cable) and some switches for engine bay lights.

    I'm being cheeky posting in the defender thread but I like the hatch idea for the D2. I want to put hatches in my rear quarter panels though because there is a lot of free space there on a disco. Hatches could work in the rear of a 110 wagon too though under the windows to provide access to the load area.

    Anyone had a crack at using a more reasonably priced alternative?

    Seems it will be about $250 landed which is a stretch to far

    Thinking it might be a case of cutting a lid out and hinging to the guard top similar to the GMB fender locker and bend up a few brackets to locate the gear I want to install inside.
