Also, have a look at this thread for comments by other forum members Mulgo seat extension rails They are an easy modification that makes a big difference if you're tall.

Or check out the MUD seat rails I have them in my 90 extra leg room is good, but they lift the seat height I am 6 ft 2 and it puts you back past the door post and up nearer the roof of course, but worth it not to have your knees on the dash and the wheel rubbing your legs ...

						Hi,
Does your D90 have a bulkhead behind the seats or does it have a bulkhead removal bar there?
If it has a bulkhead there, you can gain more room by removing it and putting a bulkhead removal bar in its place.
If it has a bulkhead removal bar in there already, then the seat already goes back until it touches the bar.
As recommended by others previously, both the Mulgo, and the Mud seat rails are good, they alter the seat angle to a better position, but in a D90 they don't give much more room.
N.B. I have two D90s, one with a bulkhead and one without, and I have both Mulgo & Mud seat rails that I have interchanged between both to see any difference in seating position.

thanks everyone that took the time to reply , the situation is that I already own a disco and RRC two door . The question about the d90 is for my brother , he 's owned a number of different 4wd's over the years some standard some modified !!!. Sometime ago I convinced he to give a 97 disco a try , he brought one as a second vehicle to a 07 nissan patrol , 12 months later they sold the patrol .Stu has a soft spot for the defender , so will he fit in one , well he sat in a knew one just recently , bit tight !! He ask me if there's anyway of modifying to gain more leg room. He's keen on the 90's so is there any way of modifying the bulk head behind the front seats, if so would the seat extensions provide enough room !! possibly how much more, any further thoughts would be appreciated , thanks again .

						Hmmm,
I was just re-reading what I posted.
I do not think that I explained it well enough,
The seat back rest goes back until it hits the bulkhead removal bar when using the standard seat rails.
When using either the Mulgo or Mud seat rails, they allow the seat base to move back further, thus allowing the bottom of the seat back to move further back for more leg room.
But the movement of the seat back is still constrained by the bulkhead removal bar..
Here is a photo showing a D90 with the standard seat rails with the seat back up against the bulkhead removal bar.
It shows down the bottom of the photo that there is still room for the seat base to move back further when aftermarket seat rails are installed.
I guess the level of comfort is determined by what body shape you have.
It might be a little uncomfortable if you were to have long legs and short arms, or short legs and long arms..

Thanks for update and photo , I assume the bulkhead bar isn't totally removable , soooo is it possible to reconfigure the bulkhead bar to allow the seat to slide back further when the seat extensions have been installed .Is the bulkhead bar bolted into the vehicle , if so could I bend up a knew bulkhead bar !!!! to allow seat to travel further back , thanks again for your reply
