Thread: Reversing camera on 2013 110 question

The area between the just below the windscreen is very crowded with air ducts bit you may get down between these. Below are a few pics from our earlier Puma Project, half way down the first page, shows space with the dash removed, but there may be some other items already removed as well.

I fitted a stereo head unit with twin usb connection at the back. Even with the head unit removed it was very difficult to run cables directly up behind the dash.
I ended up running them to the left & through a small hole under the (glove box lid that isn't) then along the seal area between the windscreen & the dash. One usb cable runs power for my sat nav & the other stayed at the glove box area for the I Pod connection. This was the neatest way I could easily do this & the cables cannot be seen from the cab. I hate using the accessory socket as the cables always seem to get in the way. Good luck.

Just a suggestion if you have the Alpine flip out screen which alot of the new 110's seem to have, to run the camera through that.

I was going to buy a similar setup to you but the installer suggested to just buy a flip out screen stereo deck and buy a camera and run it through that. All the wiring just works through the head unit.

Not much help I guess.

Well, I went thru the same discussion with different installers and one suggested the flip out screen with camera, $1000 installed. This wasn't going to happen. I bought a 4.3"" screen with Sony CCD heavy duty camera for $44 delivered to my door, includes guidelines too.

I spent 3 hours today with my good neighbor and success. See photos below.

You can't argue the price saving for sure. There are much cheaper flip out screens that still work well like the phillips but they still wont compare to that price saving. I was going to replace my head unit eventually anyway so just took the plunge and did it all in one.
