    Mixing differential oil

The oil in my front diff looks like it contains molybdenum di sulfide - it is probably Molytex EP 90 as per workshop manual recommendations. Following suggestion in my owners manual, I bought Castrol EPX 80/90W to top up differentials.
    Are the two oils compatible?

should be, but I would strongly recommend you drain the lot and replace with new of the same type. When was the diff oil last changed?

Oil hasn't been changed for at least 18 months.

You kinda' just answered your own question then no need to mix if you're draining.
