TD5 Clutch Switch leaking fluid
Guys,
My TD5 started over-revving when changing gear... A quick think identified the clutch switch...
I took the connector off to find the contacts sat in clutch fluid. I removed the excess fluid, put the connector back on and the switch works fine.
Any idea why I would have fluid in the switch contacts? Is it possible for the switch to fail in this way? Is a new switch the fix?

Any thoughts...
Thanks

Same problem discovered on my 2005 Defender. I'm thinking about removing the switch and plugging the hole. Maybe better to put a switch on the pedal. Wonder if anyone has been successful with that idea?
