It's on the list, I understand you had to cut one hole/slot? Was that tricky. I wonder why the light assembly is not powder coated?
Any provision to attach a long handed shovel?
How long did it all take
Cheers
I had fun on the weekend installing the Rijidij wheel carrier to the 90. It's been sitting on the workshop floor for a couple of months so nice to get it in the correct spot. Fantastic bit of kit from Rijidij, so well made, instructions were easy to follow, only tricky bit was cleaning up all the rusty spots under the chassis before I got started, also found a whole heap of dust ingress points behind the trim in the back half of the car, most of the original cable glands had popped out..
Anyone looking at this wheel carrier as an option, go for it.

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

the light assembly is hot dip galvanized.
I think Murray had some problems with rust on the first few that were powder coated so galvanizing them was a better option. They are mostly hidden by the spare wheel anyway
Hi AndyG,
I did have to cut a slot, in the filler piece between the bumper and the white body panel. It's 8mm x 60mm long so I just marked it out, drilled a series of 8mm Dia holes and then filed out the bit in the middle. But do this first as it gives the rust proof paint time to dry before you fix the bracket through.
All up the wheel carrier took about 4 hours, but I wasn't rushing. The wiring for the light took a bit longer as I did a bunch of tidy up work to the rear of the cab as well.
Good Luck.
Yeah, the first ones were zinc plated which wasn't the most suitable coating as it doesn't cover the inside of the tubes.
Hot dip gal is 100% cover, inside and out. The gal can also be powder coated over the top. I've done this for a couple of customers who wanted the light pole black.
Cheers, Murray

You can view the fitting instructions online if you want to see exactly what's involved. Defender 110/90 Wheel Carrier Fitting
Regarding cutting the slot, have a look at this thread where it's explained in more detail. Self fitment of Ridjidi rear wheel carrier
The only way I've had customers attach a long handled shovel to the wheel carrier is by using a Hi-Lift jack mounting bracket which will clamp around the handle of a shovel instead of the Hi-Lift handle Hi-Lift Jack Mount
