No thanks, I like the look of the mantec, best looking RAI on the market

and I would like to say I was really happy with the amount of dust that didnt get in to the air filter when we were up at the cape....so its not horrific in that department either....

what am I comparing it to? the D4 that was with us with a safari on...massive difference in dust in the filter and we were in the dust wake of the D4 for the whole journey, the car was full of it!!.

while I know you can put a Donaldson on the safari's I dont want to drive around with a fish bowl on the top of my car either
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

I got a quote from them about 12 months ago, $380 i think it was. best to call and check with them.

Mantec wont sell direct to you in Australia (I know, I asked and tried as shipping included most of the parts from them would come in at less than half the price to buy here!)

I must have been really lucky Leroy cause I ordered a steel snorkel late 2011, and got it early 2012. Cost including delivery was only $485 from memory. Couldn't be happier - that steel snorkel isn't going anywhere - it regularly gets slapped with close vegetation when down south and apart from looking great, it's doing a top job with reducing dust ingestion (for the engine anyway)

Just turn the head on the Safari Snorkel around for the dusty parts of the journey. Only thing I'm not sure about with that is how the air flow into the snorkel head varies…

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Why would I do that when I can have a mantec, that doesnt appear to let that much in, in the first place
